Yes, and we'd rather tell you than have you discover it. The motel sits right on Highway 26 — which is exactly why it's so easy to reach and so quick to get up the mountain from. Every room has a white-noise machine and earplugs, and most guests sleep fine. But if you're a genuinely light sleeper, renting a room in the back of the motel will be the most quiet. We don't refund against noise, so please book knowing it. If quiet is the priority, we manage riverfront cabins nearby that are much better suited.

Yes — and that's unusual on this mountain. Most Mt. Hood rentals want two or three nights minimum; these rooms take a single night, and cancellation runs to one day before check-in on most of them. If you're watching the snow report and deciding late, this is the inventory built for it.

Yes at most rooms, and the pet fee here is the lowest in our portfolio — a fraction of what a cabin costs. Dogs only; no cats at any of our properties. The fee applies per dog per stay and is paid before arrival. There's forest and trail access minutes away, and the Salmon River just down the road.

Government Camp and Skibowl are about twenty minutes up Highway 26, Timberline around thirty, Meadows roughly forty-five. Being lower down has a real advantage in winter: you're below the worst of the snow line, so getting to your room is far easier than it is up in the village. You'll still want chains or 4WD with snow tires for the drive up to the lifts between November and March. There is also a shuttle pickup 8 minute walk from the Mt Air.

No — there's no on-site office, which keeps the rooms priced the way they are. Check-in is self-service with everything you need sent before you arrive, and our local team is on call 24/7 by phone or text. Most guests prefer it; if you'd rather have someone at a desk, this isn't the right stay.

Yes! All nine rooms together sleep 25 across eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms — a whole building to yourselves at the base of the mountain. It works well for wedding parties, race teams, ski clubs and big family reunions where everyone wants their own bathroom. Commercial use and filming aren't permitted. Ask us and we'll put it together.

For email and browsing, generally yes. For all-day video calls, we'd rather you didn't count on it — a guest working remotely described it as fine for asynchronous work but not something he'd trust for a video call, and that's a fair summary. We have recently upgraded to Starlink and are monitoring reviews and guest experiences. If you need reliable calls, tell us and we'll point you at a better-suited home.

Most rooms sleep two to four; one takes six. A couple have pull-out sofas that genuinely only fit one person, and the listings say so. Check the "Where you'll sleep" section on the room you're considering — we'd rather you knew than arrived a bed short.
