We enjoyed our stay at the Lolo Bear Cabin. The home looks like it has had plenty of interior upgrades, with beds, linens, kitchen appliances and supplies, and even the carpet looking new. Mostly well stocked. Whole house was clean. We brought our dog on vacation as well, and it was a comfortable place for him. There is a spacious laundry room that worked well to put his kennel. They even supplied a dog towel (for dirty paws) and raised dishes for dog food/water. Being a rainy week, we didn't spend much time in the outdoor space around the house, but the road that goes by the house is fairly quiet and worked for taking the dog on pleasant walks up to the Sandy River. We did have a water leak under the kitchen sink which we found the night we checked in, but our host was very responsive (even at 9 pm!) and maintenance was quick to fix the problem the next day. There is some work to do to deter spiders from coming in. Parking is tight. The beds were too hard for us, but seemed new!

we very much enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is VERY well equipped, including a few spices. Unfortunately, there was no furniture on the patio. The beds were comfortable, with plenty of blankets through the cabin. I brought my dog and there were dog bowls and doggie bags available, as well as 2 leads on the front and back porches. I would stay here again!
The main opportunity for improvement is communication about rodent/pest traps which may be in the house. There were sticky traps in easily accessible locations which my dog, or a small child, could have been curious about and gotten into. We picked them up off the floor as soon as we noticed them and no harm was done. Because of the woodsy location, small mice and other pests are not unexpected and it didn't take away from our wonderful experience at the cabin.

READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING. I rarely leave negative reviews, but future guests deserve to know what we experienced. The cabin wasn't properly cleaned (damp towels left in the dryer, toothpaste on the bathroom faucet and mirror, and pink slime around the sink). There was also a sugar ant problem. The hosts addressed the ants and quickly replaced a dangerously slippery front mat after both my dog and I slipped. The biggest issue came later: mouse droppings throughout the cabin, including well over 100 under the kitchen sink beside a bait station and an unset trap. I baited the trap myself and caught two mice overnight. One appeared to have fleas, and my dog had already started scratching. We left early because we no longer felt safe or comfortable. This appeared to be an ongoing infestation, not an isolated incident. Until the cabin has been professionally treated, sanitized, and thoroughly inspected, I cannot recommend staying here, especially for families or anyone traveling with pets.
The absolute BEST hosts!! So responsive and helpful. The location was beautiful and convenient. The house itself was very home-y and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Looking forward to staying here again when we come back this way!
