Our stay was absolutely amazing. The house was stunning & everything was to the point & looked exactly like the pictures. The location was about an hour out from PDX, but it was so peaceful and calm. The only con I can point out is that the wood in the back porch was slippery when wet & I took a good fall, even with my hiking boots on. The Cascadia team was extremely helpful with everything & their customer service was 11/10. Timely responses, friendly, & helped us work through our concerns when it came to the government shutdown. Overall, our trip was exactly what we needed and worth every penny. Will definitely be making a trip back. :)

I had a fun and comfortable stay here! The place is dog-friendly, which was a huge plus. The managing company was very responsive—had a small issue with the lock, but it was quickly resolved. The blinds are a bit old, so you’ll want to be gentle with them, but everything else was great. The location is amazing, with a huge backyard and a well-stocked kitchen that made the stay super convenient. Perfect little getaway spot for 2–3 days!

We work from home so that’s what we did the entire time. Lots of space to spread out, comfortable, and a movie-like giant tree and fern filled backyard.

At first my girlfriend and i were skeptical because of the little reviews this place had. We’re lucky to say we were one of the first ones to enjoy this amazing Airbnb so don’t worry if the few reviews also scares you. An hour away from portland but with its own unique little town of mt hood was perfect. The Airbnb itself was very welcoming and cozy. Fancy but modern with beautiful surroundings. Although it was not all private as in the house is right next to the road, it did not matter since not many cars came by anyway. The customer service from them was excellent as we even had a moment of bonding with video games haha. Overall a gem if you’re looking around far but near Portland. Only 2 hours from the coast and 1-2 hours to many of the state parks. Would book again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Not only was the property stunning but also very clean! The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked nicely with anything you may need. The beds were very comfy and it was the perfectly located very close to many different popular hikes in the area. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area!

We had a wonderful stay along with our doggo here. The location is so convenient to the Zigzag area hikes and to Mt hood view spots. Lot of cafes and grocery nearby as well. The house was clean & as described and the hosts were great with checking on us. We really appreciated the local coffee and the cream to go along with it! The garden is lovely too but we didn’t get to spend much time on the patio on this visit, may be the next time!

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. As soon as we entered the cabin, there was a strong odor throughout the property. The cabin is pet-friendly, and the smell seemed to be a combination of pet odors and moisture. We even tried cleaning the floors ourselves, but the odor remained. My friend lifted a kitchen rug and found a large stain underneath, which appeared to be from a previous pet accident that had not been properly cleaned. The bedding also had a noticeable unpleasant smell. The cabin felt unclean enough that we decided not to stay the night. To their credit, the property manager was very responsive and quickly arranged another cabin for the remaining two nights, which we appreciated. What was frustrating was the pricing resolution. We were told the replacement cabin would be price-matched and that we would receive a 10% discount, but the refund ended up being minimal. Our stay at Lolowood Chalet was divine. I was worried when I saw that it was being managed by a vacation rental company because of my last experience with a similar business in Bend, Oregon. Meredith Lodging is a scam. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. The company that manages this home and many others in the area were the polar opposite. Cascadia Getaways was responsive, accurate in their advertising, local (the other company outsourced their calls to a foreign country), and were helpful in every way. The home was gorgeous, the surrounding area, verdant and life giving. The upstairs suite was perfect for providing a separate space for guests or kids. I particularly enjoyed all the original art in this home…very refreshing to have an owner share that in their rental. I could’ve stayed there forever and felt like I was home.

We had an amazing and relaxing stay. This place is exactly what we needed and we will be back!

Cozy and fancy cabin. Positive: This house is amazing and fully equiped with all you could need. Beeds are confotrable, bathrooms are big, kitchen is well designed and the living room is cozy and spacious. Negative: The only downside is that the house is biside the road but it’s not a very busy road anyway.
